SNMP Conﬁguration Menu

e SNMP Conguration menu is used to display or modify user-specic device data, e.g.,

location, device name or function (see Figure 4.6).

e Trap Conguration part of the table is used to view or modify the IP addresses of the

two trap receivers. It is also used to activate/deactivate the Send traps function.

Software Update Menu

e Soware Update menu is used to view or modify the parameters for a soware update

and to trigger the update (see Figure 4.7).

Executing the Firmware/Software Update

e device must have valid IP parameters so that the rmware can be updated. You also

need a functional TFTP server.

e following steps are required to update the soware (see Figure 4.8):

1 Save the selected rmware/soware in the download directory of your TFTP server.

2 Start the TFTP server.

3 Start the WBM of the switch and call the Soware Update page (General Congura-

tion/Soware Update).

4 Enter the IP address of the TFTP Server in the TFTP Server IP Address eld.
