e Load the last stored conguration option can be used to reload the last conguration

saved on the device or the PC. All modications made to the conguration since it was last

saved will be lost (see Figure 4.14).

When a conguration is uploaded from the managed switch to a PC, the last saved version

is transmitted. If you want to transmit the active conguration, rst save it again (Save cur-

rent conguration function).

When a conguration is downloaded from a PC to a managed switch, the new congura-

tion is only activated once the switch has been reset.

Note

The use of a conﬁguration ﬁle does not aect an existing (old) password.

Conguration using a conguration le is used when replacing devices. To duplicate de-

vices using a conguration le, observe the following:

 Establish a point-to-point connection between a managed switch and the management

station.

 Load the conguration le to the switch.

 Reset the switch.

 Adjust the IP parameters.

 Save the conguration (Save current conguration function).

e duplicated switch can now be operated in the network using the adjusted IP param-

eters.

To trigger a reboot via the Web interface, enter a valid password. Save the conguration be-

forehand, so that conguration modications are retained or can be activated via a restart.

Ports Menu

e Ports menu is an overview of all available ports (see Figure 4.15). Clicking on the rel-

evant port number opens a port-specic page (Port Conguration).
