26 CHAPTER 2 JOB LIST PAGE
Monthly Interval and enter the appropriate interval. If you want the job to run every
January and July, then select Selected Months and select the appropriate months.
e File Watch tab allows you to trigger jobs when a le is created, changed, renamed, or
deleted. Enter the following information to watch a le (see Figure 2.11):
Figure 2.11 – File Watch Event
Name – Shows the name of the le watcher, for identifying it.
Description – Explains the purpose of this le watcher.
File path – Shows the entire name of an appropriate le, including the path to its loca-
tion. Ensure that the Translator service has the necessary Windows and/or network
rights to access the given le.
Delay – Shows the number of seconds to ignore successive le events. When a le is
created or modied, it can oen require a signicant amount of time to nish writing
the entire le. Each time more information is written to the le, the Windows opera-
tion signals a new “le created” or “le modied” event. is delay is provided to en-
sure that multiple tasks are not started for the same le change.
e File Changes section allows you to select the types of le changes to watch: Cre-
ated, Renamed, Changed, or Deleted.
e Socket Listener tab allows you to set events that activate when a connection is received
on a specied port (see Figure 2.12). e connected socket is then passed to the task for
continued use of data from the connection.
